Displaytech Ships 10 Millionth FLCOS Microdisplay
LONGMONT, Colo., September 15, 2005 — Displaytech Inc., the world leader in liquid-crystal-on-silicon microdisplays, today announced that it has shipped its 10 millionth ferroelectric liquid-crystal-on-silicon (FLCOS) display. Displaytech is the first company using reflective liquid-crystal-on-silicon technology to reach this important shipment milestone, and is a testament to the growing customer demand for the Company’s products.

Displaytech, founded in 1985, began full scale manufacturing of FLCOS devices in 2001. Since that time, Displaytech has been featured in more than 20 consumer-electronics products from key customers that include Sony, Kodak, Olympus, Hitachi, Konica-Minolta, Kyocera, and Hewlett-Packard.
